On Monday December the 14, 2009, the Quetzalcoatl Folk Dance group presented a check for $550.00 to the susan Archuleta Scholarship.

El Lunes 14 de Diciembre de 2009, el grupo de Danza Folklorica Quetzalcoatl entregó un cheque por $550.00 para la beca Susan Archuleta.

Gaspar Pedro, the teacher for the Quetzalcoatl Folk Dance adult group, and Ana Laura Hernandez, the teacher for the children's group, presented a check for $550 to the Oregon Coast Community College Foundation for the Susan Archuleta Memorial Scholarship. On September 16 of this year, the dance group, in collaboration with Centro de Ayuda, held a fundraising event at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds to raise funds for the Susan Archuleta Memorial scholarship. This coming year 2010, the group is already planing some other events for the same purpose.

El maestro del grupo de adultos Gaspar Pedro y la maestra del grupo de niños Ana Laura Hernández acompañados de uno de los integrantes del grupo Roberto Calleja-Hernández, hicieron entrega del cheque de lo que esperamos se convierta en una tradición en nuestra comunidad. El pasado 16 de septiembre del 2009 el grupo Quetzalcoatl en colaboración con el Centro de Ayuda llevaron a cabo un evento para recabar fondos en los terrenos de la feria del Condado de Lincoln para la beca Susan Archuleta. Para éste año 2010 que viene el grupo ya está planeando llevar a cabo otros eventos para el mismo propósito.

The Susan Archuleta scholarship was established in 2003, to provide funds for students attending the Oregon Coast Community College. Since then the fund has being able to give out several scholarships that we hope we can continue funding in the future.

La beca Susan Archuleta fué establecida en el 2003, para proporcionar fondos para estudiantes que asisten al Oregon Coast Community College. Desde entonces el fondo ha entregado varias becas y esperamos continuar con esta fundación en el futuro.
